And see what can happen !

This five day music seminar is dedicated to a maximum of ten participants. It combines the expertise of Master instructors in music and experts in the field of wellness who introduce techniques and tools to evolve the delight in creative, easy performance, the cornerstones of playing beautiful music

The focus of this You and Music seminar is to open and expand personal pathways and to experience more joy and potential in work and music.

It also focuses on knowing the imperative connection of the alignment of mind and body for the release of pain, stress and tension when performing.

The You and Music course is interwoven with innovative instruction with "Out of the Box" approaches. Instructor’s creative techniques on practice in music and in well- being reveal new insights to enable students to ‘jump out of the box’ and release stuck actions and limitations. Students begin to develop an edge in strengthening their inner self and inner musicianship along with the ease and joy of pain free performance.

Discover individuality and your creative self. Brian McWhorter, Master Teacher, tweeks his students to discover and to play simple innovative practice techniques for creative output which surprisingly many professional musicians are often unable to do. Now, that's a jump out of the box !

Understanding the beautiful, architectural functioning of the body is the focus of David Nesmith with Body Mapping. He helps musicians face limitations and/or pain because of inadequacies in their "body map". David works with students to discover the benefits of this approach in playing their instruments or singing or moving. For more "out of the box" fun he is teaching a special Salsa class Tuesday and Wednesday evenings!

Maria Jeleztcheva, Co-Director of You and Music seminar, coordinates the activities of the seminar and supports students in their presentations at the end of the week. She will offer coached get-togethers in the evenings. She encourages the musicians to express their new “out of the box” insights in solo and/or group presentations for a real You... and Music performance!

Poppie Beveridge opens awareness to "Suppleness in Mind, Strength in Body and Serenity in Spirit" with her work Posturing for Success. "Posturing,” she says, is the "Posturing,” she says, is the understanding of the interwoven alignments and connections between our body structure, our attitudes of mind which result in our emotions and actions. Through stimulating, playful and meditative activities along with personal analysis of physical posture….. students are discovering the real “You” in music.

The innovative You and Music seminars are essential for those persons actively involved in education, therapy and performance. They are Music Major students 18 years or older, Public and Private Educators, Professors, Professional Performing Artists and Music Therapists.
